Who we are

About Us

The Sydney University Economics Society (EconSoc) is the University of Sydney's leading society for students interested in economics and econometrics.

We are a USU-affiliated, not-for-profit, student-run society supported by the University of Sydney School of Economics.

Our Mission

Help students reach their full potential, inspire their sense of curiosity and challenge themselves to succeed at university and beyond, in a supportive and vibrant community.

Our Goals

1.

To provide value to both prospective employers and students by facilitating interaction, communication and meaningful conversations

2.

To enrich students with a hands-on approach to real-world economics and enhance their understanding beyond the classroom

3.

To cultivate a thriving and close-knit community of ambitious and passionate individuals across our cohort and beyond

Sydney University Economics Society

The Sydney University Economics Society acknowledges the Cadigal People of the Eora Nation as the traditional owners of the land. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal Elders both past and present and extend this acknowledgement to any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on this land and commit to building a brighter future together.
